Events & Experiences
This page is a bit of a work-in-progress, but:
Quite a few fans have, over the years, asked whether I do events. To which the answer is now: yes!
If you're looking for a small-scale interactive immersive experience to bring your friends together, I have a selection of solo shows that might be for you and your living room - or we can talk about creating a custom piece, from birthday missions tailored to the guest of honour to intense games of negotiation themed around somebody's favourite genre (for obvious reasons, if you want a specific IP, that may be more complex).
I'm in the early days of this, so prices are negotiable. My basic calculation is: cover costs of transport & necessary supplies + pay me for my time performing and preparing + a little extra for the time spent looking for work & perhaps even some time off. So do get in touch!

Sample shows:
The Estate Sale of Randolph Carter
Ideal number: 13 guests
Works with: 5-50 guests
Style: pulpy, high-energy fun with scheming and negotiation
Your host character is: an auctioneer who doesn't realise what they've got trapped in
It has been nearly a decade since the disappearance of Mr Randolph Carter, legendary occultist, academic, and explorer. We have been tasked with the disposal of his estate.
If you accept the commission, you will be representing an organisation* at the estate auction of Mr Randolph Carter. Including various household items, personal effects, and objects relating to his more esoteric activities, your organisation will give you priorities, information, and a pool of capital to spend in their interests. It is said that some of the lots possess strange and unique properties, and we anticipate heated interest.
Attendees will be able to confer, negotiate, and pool resources between collected lots; we encourage the avoidance of any underhand dealing.
*We have been assured that no governments, universities, cults, or radical movements will be taking an interest in this sale.
Presented at the London Lovecraft Festival 2025 after I was awarded their writing contest, 45 guests represented various organisations, bidding on lots, deciphering clues, and striking deals with one another. There are 13 different patrons available, from dusty academics to sinister cults, so it's easy to tailor it to different groups, make it work for smaller and larger audiences, and form teams as you see fit.
Painting Pickman's Model
Ideal number: 10-15 guests
Works with: 3+ guests
Style: contemplative discussion over quiet sketching
Your host is: a monstrous ghoul
Follow in the steps of Pickman and sketch a monstrous ghoul.* A unique opportunity to make your own pieces of art and get to know a horror from London’s corpse-filled graveyard.
You are invited to participate in a life drawing class with Pickman’s notorious model. It will offer advice, critique, and an opportunity to discuss existence with a horrible parody of humanity.
What is worst in humanity, and can you ever forgive it?
*Artistic talent is not required. Being human is.
Also presented at the London Lovecraft Festival 2025, Painting Pickman's Model is superficially a chance to sketch with your friends. But it leads very quickly into a group discussion around what exactly we think of when we think of monstrosity, and whether we should ever welcome monsters back into our midst. One for the philosophers and debaters.
Into The Dreamlands
Ideal number: 21 guests
Works with: 6-45 guests
Style: freeform collaborative storytelling, with spaces for crafting and music-making
Your host is: a Dreamer, narrating the imagined world of Dream
What do you want?
What do you dream of?
It’s not all nightmares out there.
You are invited to a demonstration of the alleged powers of a dreamer; to join their ritual and explore the Dreamlands. Together, attendees will control the dreamer’s exploration of that rumoured place of strange cities and peoples.
If useful, there may be ways to exploit their arts in pursuit of knowledge, power, or protecting what matters. For there is a poison in the Dreamlands, and many rumours of what it might be.
Offered anything you can dream of, what will you do? What will you learn? And what can you afford to lose?
Presented at the London Lovecraft Festival 2024, Into The Dreamlands asks guests take turns instructing a person travelling the fantastical world of dreams (as described by your host, the Dreamer), responding to suggestions from their peers. Meanwhile, others document the journey with words and pictures, while others shape the world of dream through a music mini-game.
Your Show
Ideal number: you tell me
Works with: you tell me what's needed
Style: as you can see, I build shows in fantastical worlds,* usually somehow rooted in this one, where the interaction encourages collaboration, discussion, and a variable level of competition. Quite often they involve mechanics around negotiation, crafting, and other chances to creatively shape the story. Get in touch, and let's see what we can build.
*Things I especially like include Terry Pratchett, Ursula K. Le Guin, the Mahabharata, The Epic of Gilgamesh, Pride & Prejudice, and many things Gothic and Romantic. I can also GM a mean game of Call of Cthulhu, Dungeons & Dragons, and various other TTRPG systems.
