Voidspace Festival, 9th July 2024

This was, perhaps, the finalised version of We Sing/I Sang.

After its previous iterations, We Sing/I Sang had a nap while the Uncanny Things Trilogy emerged out of that strand of work.

However, when Voidspace Festival came around, there was an opportunity to make a small, portable version of the show that required even less work.

And so here we are. A simple set of tools for collaborative storytelling with the audience. All you need is an empty room, three printed sheets of paper, and some blank sheets to scribble on. The audience move between three labelled points to guide what happens next: Our World Changed, Our Way Reinforced, Our Bonds Weakened.

With these tools and skilled performers, a world came to life. Here, a world of gardens and airships. In another place, perhaps something else.

Whatever it may be, it feels intimate and real. Like people care.
